BESSIE CHENG
PLAYWRIGHT / “PHOTO GIRL”
Bessie Cheng is a Chinese-Canadian performer and playwright who recently graduated from Theatre Studies program at York University, where she specialized in Devised Theatre and Playwriting. Her recent works include: Ultrasound (Preshow performance, Cahoots Theatre Company), Aperture (Deviser/Performer, Summerworks 2015), Paperweight (Playwright/Performer, Hamilton Fringe 2015), Potluck XII (Playwright, fu-GEN), and A Language for Dogs (Deviser/Performer, Hamilton Fringe 2014).
AARON JAN
PLAYWRIGHT / DIRECTOR
Aaron Jan is a Hamilton born director and playwright. Recent Credits Include: Swan (Little Black Afro), Rowing (Filament Incubator), Love Broke (Then They Fight), and Here (Theatre Aquarius TA2 Series). Upcoming: Aaron will be acting as a facilitator for Then They Fight's Then Speak series, where he will be guiding the development of Kairos Collective's The Bathtub Girls and Maddie Bautista and Chris Cruz's Drug Huggers. Other: Aaron is thrilled to be reunited with his Silk Bath family and is thankful and excited to get his Next Stage cherry popped (ew).
DORCAS CHIU
DEVISER / “HONG KONG”
Dorcas Chiu is a Queer Asian Theatre Artist, recently graduated from the Drama Centre at University of Toronto. When not found performing, she can be seen directing, dramaturging, producing, and stage-managing various projects around the city. Selected Performance Credits: Titus Andronicus (Seven Siblings Theatre); DREAMS (Canadian Ensemble Youth Theatre); Chinese Vaginies (Walk the Walk Festival); PaperSERIES (Drama Centre). Upcoming Performance: Divine (The Storefront Theatre). She is the TD Administrative Intern for fu-GEN Asian Canadian Theatre.
EN LAI MAH
DEVISER / “MUTT”
En Lai is a Toronto based theatre artist, practitioner of martial arts, storytelling and dance. He is an alumni of the University College Drama Program at the University of Toronto. Previous performances include Then They Fight’s 10/10/10 Project “Our Idiot Friend Is Now Dead”, Pandemic Theatre’s They Say He Fell (in association with Cahoots Theatre), The Lost Sagas of Tjorvi the Flaccid, Pressgang Theatre’s Served, I Am Very Far (SummerWorks), and Theatre Ocean’s Vangroovy. He studies movement with Across Oceans.
AMANDA ZHOU
DEVISER / “OLD WOMAN”
Amanda Zhou is a Toronto based actor and graduate from York University's Acting Conservatory. Her recent film/TV credits include: Gorgons and Gucci, Unconventional Love, and The Adventure for Love (Hunan Broadcast Company). Previous theatre credits: The Adonis Project (Piece of Mine Festival), Madame Mao, Pillars (house of Rebels), Faster Than Night (Harbourfront Centre). Other credits: Zhou Xuan (HK Dance Company), Sichuan Earthquake Charity Gala, Mariposa Charity Gala Ice Show, Celebrating 100 Years Shanghai Music Festival.
LOGAN RAJU CRACKNELL
STAGE MANAGER AND
LIGHTING DESIGNER
Logan is a Toronto based Lighting Designer and Stage Manager who is excited to be working again with the team of Silk Bath here at the Next Stage Festival! His most recent work was as the Stage Manager for Little Black Afro and Filament Incubator's co-production of Swan. He also worked on two shows in the Toronto Fringe Festival, Rowing as the Lighting Designer, and Silk Bath as both Stage Manager and Lighting Designer.
KEVIN FELICIANO
PROJECTIONS AND SOUND DESIGNER
Kevin is a sound and projection designer. Currently a Youthlink Artist at Soulpepper Theatre Company and active in the local Toronto Filipino music scene. His past works are Heartbeat and Other Ways To Say I Love You” (Dynamic Triumph), and “Strangeness and Breath” (Epigraph Collection, and LBA), Swan (LBA, and Filament Incubator)
ARAM HEYDARIAN
SET AND COSTUME DESIGNER
Aram is a set and costume designer graduating from the production program at Theatre@York. She's designed productions including Rowing (with Then They Fight Productions), Carbon (with Little Black Afro Productions), and now Silk Bath (with Silk Bath Collective). She works as a professional, traditional painter and designer. Aram will continue working in Toronto's theatre community and other personal projects.

Gloria Mok is a Mississauga-born playwright, director, producer, and arts educator. She is a graduate of the University of Guelph’s Theatre Studies program and the University of Toronto's OISE Program. Currently she is in studying Production at the National Theatre School of Canada. Selected credits: I’m Thinking About Thinking About Crying (Theatre Ramen), Avaricious (Theatre Gargantua), and [republic] of rhetoric (point-blank). Contemporary works that transcend real or imagined barriers excite her, which is why she is thrilled to part of a project like Silk Bath!

KEVIN MATTHEW WONG
PRODUCER
Kevin is a theatre creator, producer, actor and environmentalist interested in socially-conscious works. He is the Artistic Director of Broadleaf Theatre, which seeks to authentically merge environmentalism and theatre practice. He is a graduate of the U of T Drama Centre and the inaugural Generator Artist Producer Training Program and can be found performing, singing and producing throughout Toronto. Through Theatre Ontario’s Professional Theatre Training Program, funded by the Ontario Arts Council, an agency of the Government of Ontario, he is the Artistic Director Intern at Cahoots Theatre, under Marjorie Chan.
